About us
Lifelong friends Sarah Baker and Angela McIlvain have been working in the production industry for many years. Sarah as a wardrobe, prop and food stylist and Angela as a production designer. Both have seen firsthand how needlessly wasteful the industry is. In 2019 Sarah started Making Earth Cool, a collective that creates content and events using science, comedy & creativity to educate & inspire people to be better stewards of our only home, Earth. With their mutual love of the Earth, Angela was an early collaborator on this endeavor.
In 2023, working together on a particularly wasteful set, Sarah shared her vision of merging their production industry experience with what they have learned through their research and collaborations via Making Earth Cool to create Portland’s first production waste management company. The two decided then and there to pursue this venture wholeheartedly!
